There are several grounds for unfair dismissal, such as:

  1. Your employer does not have a fair reason for dismissing you m(e.g. if there was nothing wrong with your job performance)
  2. Your employer did not follow the correct process when dismissing you (e.g. if they have not followed their company dismissal processes)
  3. You were dismissed for an automatically unfair reason (e.g. because you wanted to take maternity leave)
  4. You would also be entitled to be compensated for injury to your feelings or any resulting health problems.
